The word is out! A brand new production of Howie the Rookie, written and directed by Mark O’Rowe and starring Tom Vaughan-Lawlor, will open at Project Arts Centre on Monday 17th June, with previews from Thursday 13th.

Howie the Rookie first took to the stage in 1999, cementing Mark O’Rowe as one of Ireland’s most unique and exciting contemporary playwrights. This summer Howie the Rookie is coming toProject Arts Centre with a new version of the show, re-imagined for one actor and directed by Mark O’Rowe himself.
This new Landmark production, starring IFTA Best Actor Award winner Tom Vaughan-Lawlortells the story of two young men from Dublin – Howie and The Rookie – over the course of two nights. Their stories intertwine and the audience is brought on a white-knuckle ride through a nightmare landscape that is sometimes hilarious and sometimes grotesque.
